Vision for Education are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant Level 3 for full-time vacancies across Preston and South Ribble. The roles are due to start in June 2024 with pay from £400-£500 per week.

About the role

Are you a friendly and child-centred person?

Are you passionate about supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs?

  • The overarching purpose of the role is to work with pupils who have learning difficulties usually with a statement of Special Educational Needs.
  • The ideal Teaching Assistant Level 3 will be prepared to ‘go the extra mile’ to support very special young people.
  • You will be required to prepare and adapt materials suitable for pupils with learning difficulties to use in class, alongside facilitating small group and 1:1 sessions for students in their specialised curricula.

About the school

The role will be working within a Primary or SEND specialist school within Preston and South Ribble, becoming part of their school community supporting young people with barriers to learning and SEND learning needs.

As an Teaching Assistant Level 3, you would be required to meet the holistic needs of the pupils under the direction of the class teacher and senior support staff.

There are opportunities for the role to become a permanent position after a qualifying period is worked.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant Level 3 you will:

  • Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Desirable to have prior experience working as a TA within schools.
  • Be able to motivate and support pupil(s) to remain on task and complete work in a focused way.
  • Have an enthusiasm for supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs.
  • You will be committed to personal learning and development.

Salary

£400 to £500 per week

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • Have relevant experience of working with children, young people or vulnerable adults.
  • Have a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
