About the role
Role: Teaching Assistant.
Location: Tameside, Hyde.
Start Date: April after Easter.
Contract: Long-term with Daily Opportunities available.
Salary: £450 – £500 per week (dependent on experience and scale point).

Vision for Education is recruiting a Primary Teaching Assistant to support welcoming primary schools across the Manchester borough. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and reliable Teaching Assistant (TA) who enjoys helping children succeed both academically and personally.
Working alongside the class teacher, you will provide classroom support, one-to-one assistance, and small-group interventions to help pupils build confidence, improve learning outcomes, and stay engaged in lessons. You will play an important role in creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where every child feels encouraged to reach their potential.
This position is ideal for candidates looking for a long-term Teaching Assistant role starting April 2026, with opportunities to work across a range of supportive primary schools.
Requirements
To be considered for this Primary Teaching Assistant role in Manchester, you should have:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school or a relevant qualification such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant certificate.
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with teachers, pupils, and school staff.
- The ability to provide 1:1 support and small-group interventions, including supporting pupils with varying learning needs.
- A proactive, flexible, and reliable approach to classroom support.
