About the role
Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant (KS1 & KS2) – Full Time
Location: Tameside – Ashton area (OL6)
Pay: £450–£500 per week (depending on experience/qualifications)
Start Date: April 2026 | Long-term position
Vision for Education is looking for a friendly and reliable full-time Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming 2-form entry primary school in the Ashton area of Tameside (OL6). The school is rated Good by Ofsted and is known for its supportive leadership team, well-organised classrooms, and positive atmosphere for both staff and pupils.
You will be joining a school that values teamwork and provides clear routines and support for staff. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to play an active role in helping them learn, take part in lessons, and feel confident in school. The role is full time and long term, starting in April 2026, with the chance to build experience in a stable and supportive setting.
This position would suit someone who has worked in a primary school before, or has a TA qualification, and is keen to make a real difference in the classroom each day.
What you’ll do

Support the teacher during lessons and daily classroom activities.

Work with pupils one-to-one or in small groups.

Help children who need extra support, including those with SEN.

Assist with reading, writing, and maths tasks.
What we’re looking for

Experience working with children in a primary school.

A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.

Good communication skills.

A patient, caring approach and a genuine interest in supporting children.
