About the role
Role: Primary School Teaching Assistant (TA) – KS1 & KS2
Area: Tameside (Ashton-under-Lyne, OL6)
Pay: £450 – £500 per week (dependent on experience & qualifications)

Vision for Education is currently recruiting for a passionate and experienced Primary Teaching Assistant to support local primary schools in the Tameside and Ashton-under-Lyne area. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated TA, Classroom Assistant, Learning Support Assistant (LSA), or SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding long-term role in a supportive school environment.

The Role
As a Primary School Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, high-quality lessons across the primary curriculum

Provide 1:1 support or small group interventions, including supporting pupils with SEN or additional needs.

Assist with literacy and numeracy development in KS1 and KS2.

Encourage pupils’ independence, social skills, and emotional development
Requirements
-
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Classroom Assistant, or Learning Support Assistant in a primary school
OR -
A relevant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification preferred).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-
A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
