Teaching Assistant (Full Time/Part Time) - Newport
Salary: £444.60 – £509.60 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)
Vision for Education is recruiting individuals with a background and passion for education and care to work as a Teaching Assistant in the Newport area.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support classroom teachers by assisting students and helping manage classroom activities. Responsibilities may include supporting small groups of children or working one-to-one with pupils with additional learning needs (ALN). You may work with children across different ages, from Foundation Phase to Key Stage 2, so flexibility, enthusiasm, and adaptability are essential.
Applicants must have an enhanced DBS check, and Vision for Education can assist with this if required. Registration with the Educational Workforce Council (EWC) is also required, and support is available for this process. The ability to speak Welsh is preferred but not essential.
Requirements:

Experience working with primary school-aged children

Experience supporting pupils with additional learning needs (ALN)

Passion for supporting the progress of primary school pupils

Ability to work as part of a team

Enhanced DBS on Update Service (support available)
