Vision for Education are supporting our client primary school in LS13 for continued support within a year 3 class. We require an outstanding Teaching Assistant for a full time role placed in a busy class where you should be dynamic, proactive and confidant in your surroundings. Historically roles at this school do become permanent, however fixed Term placements are also available.
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll be tasked with providing whole class support, 1:1 or small group support to learners with additional needs. The school offer a wide variety of courses to their pupils, so these roles require a flexible and hands on attitude.
Requirements
A proactive, positve person that can offer flexibility in a busy school enviroment is essiential to these roles.
- Ability to relate well to adults and communicate effectively at all levels
- Ability to deal effectively with students presenting challenging behaviour using de-escalation techniques as appropriate
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
- Knowledge and experience of behaviour management and restorative strategies
- Experienced and comfortable with personal care
- Having a driving licence is desirable for this role
