Long term cover - maternity cover

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm (term time only)
Breaks: 30-minute lunch
Start: ASAP – Immediate start available!

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Vision for Education are urgently seeking an experienced and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join the incredible team.

The Role:

The role is to support pupils with a range of complex needs including autism, learning difficulties and SEMH across Key Stage 2. Your role will involve:

• Providing one-to-one or small group support
• Assisting pupils with communication and engagement
• Collaborating closely with teachers to create a nurturing learning environment

About You:

We’re looking for individuals who are:

• Compassionate, resilient, and reliable
• Ideally experienced in working with children with SEND (school or support settings)
• Able to commit to the full time, term time hours Mon–Fri, 8:30–4:00 (part time will be considered for the right candidates)
• In possession of an enhanced DBS on the update service – or willing to apply for one
• Able to provide references, proof of right to work and address
