1:1 Teaching Assistant – Primary SEND Support | Bristol
We are recruiting an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional needs in a welcoming primary school in Bristol. This temporary role is linked to a specific child and offers the chance to play a pivotal role in their learning, communication and emotional development.
You will be joining a nurturing and forward-thinking school environment where teamwork, inclusion and high expectations are at the heart of everything they do. Working alongside the class teacher, SENCO and external professionals, you’ll provide tailored support across 1:1, small group and whole-class settings.
The ideal candidate will:

Have experience supporting pupils with special educational needs, ideally within a primary or specialist setting

Understand the needs of children with communication and interaction difficulties, particularly early communicators

Be resilient, proactive and confident in delivering structured, targeted support
-
Enjoy building strong, positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
-
Be organised and enthusiastic, with a child-centred approach
-
Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Role Requirements:

Term-time only, including INSET days

Temporary position linked to pupil funding

Start date: ASAP

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
