Vision for Education are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary School in Cambridge supporting children with SEN one to one and generally.

About the role

One of our partner schools is looking to recruit a full time Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with children with additional needs. You will support children within their classroom on a one to one and general basis following their individual plans and the Teacher's work set. The role is a temporary-to-permanent role, so the school would look to take the successful candidate through us for the first 12 or so weeks, after which you would become a permanent member of staff.

About the school

The school is a lovely school in east Cambridge and is part of Cambridgeshire local authority. The school is a two form entry, with two of each class and nice classes sizes. It has a long standing staff team and there is a very supportive and collaborative approach to everything they do.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant- SEN support you will:
  • Have experience of working with children with SEND
  • Have some experience or working in a school or similar setting in the last 3 years (6 months minimum)
  • Hold a TA Qualification (desirable but not essential)
Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. We take our responsibilities extremely seriously. All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
