Salary: £88.92- £101.92 (daily rate)

Vision for Education are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant in the Leeds (LS13) area. We are seeking a passionate, dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school on a full time basis in Leeds (LS13). This two form school is seeking a passionate, positive and resliant role model to work in a year 3 class supporting whole class teaching, provide 1-1 support as well as lead on small class and individual targeted interventions. This role has the potential to become permenant for the right candidate.

Role Overview

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support classroom activities and assist the teaching staff in delivering high-quality education. Your role will be crucial in providing additional support to students, helping them to thrive in their learning journey. You will work closely with both the teaching staff and students to ensure a positive and productive classroom environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with their academic work.
  • Assist in preparing classroom materials and resources.
  • Support students with additional needs, helping them achieve their personal and academic goals.
  • Encourage and reinforce positive behaviour in the classroom.
  • Help with classroom management and maintaining a conducive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with the teacher to monitor student progress and offer feedback.
  • Assist with marking and assessment tasks when required.
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and training sessions.

Requirements

  • A passion for working with children and supporting their development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards learning.
  • Experience in education or child is preferred but not required.
  • A clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
