We’re working with a range of welcoming primary schools across South Bristol who are seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support pupils across the classroom, in small groups, or on a 1:1 basis. These roles suit candidates with school-based experience or transferable skills from childcare, youth work, care, or mentoring.
You’ll play a key role in creating a positive learning environment, helping pupils stay engaged, regulated, and ready to learn. Whether you’re looking for flexible supply work or a more consistent long-term placement, we can match roles to your availability and strengths.
The ideal candidate will:
• Have experience working with children or young people (school-based or transferable)
• Be patient, reliable, and nurturing, with a calm approach to behaviour support
• Enjoy working collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff
• Be confident supporting learning activities and adapting support to individual needs
• Have a genuine passion for inclusion and pupil wellbeing
Role Requirements:
• Availability during school hours (term-time)
• Willingness to support pupils 1:1, in small groups, or whole class
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Right to work in the UK
