About the role
The successful candidate should be self-motivated and forward thinking as they will be joining a dedicated and supportive faculty.
Candidates should be competent teaching all sciences to Key Stage 3 & 4, and desirably have experience teaching Chemistry, Physics, or Biology at Key Stage 5. The successful candidate will benefit from regular CPD sessions, support from their line manager, and encouragement to develop their own ideas and projects within both their department and wider school.

Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience delivering Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 (essential)
- Experience delivering Chemistry, Physics, or Biology at Key Stage 5 (desirable)
- The ability to nurture positive relationships with both learners and colleagues
- Strong subject knowledge
Key responsibilities
- To teach science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 and potentially one science at Key Stage 5
- To plan and deliver sequences of lessons that challenge learners and promote excellent progress
- To make accurate use of assessment data and to interpret results to inform future planning
- Be an enthusiastic practitioner with a passion for self-development through regular CPD and feedback
- Have a high expectation of pupil attainment whilst promoting their safety and wellbeing

£37,667 to £48,857 per year
