In this role you will be a general Teaching Assistant, working in either the lower or upper years, supporting children with Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties. You may go out and work 1:1 with children occasionally. This is a full-time, long-term position to start as soon as possible and lead up until the end of the academic year.

The school is based in a lovely part of North Somerset and is a small specialist provisional. The school caters for children of primary age with ASD (autism) and MLD (moderate learning difficulties). They have class sizes of up to 6 children per class, with a Class Teacher and 2 - 3 Teaching Assistants. Depending on your experience, you could be with the lower or upper years.

• Be able to work 8:30 - 15:30 during the school term time
• Be passionate about supporting children with special needs
• Be patient, resilient, and proactive in your work
• To have previous referable experience working within a school setting
• Ideally hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to process one (we can help with that)

• A minimum of 10 working days within a school or similar setting
• Experience or a strong desire to support children with special needs
