Vision for Education are recruiting for Special Needs Spport Workers for a variety of SEND schools across our local areas. If you have a passion for making a difference to the lives of others, this is the job for you!
About the role
You will be working alongside and supporting the class teacher to promote learning, engagement and interaction of all students. You will help the teacher to ensure pupils are supported to access the curriculum, you will also assist with the development and implementation of Education Health Care Plans whilst establishing positive and constructive relationships with the pupils. To assist the teacher you will use strategies to support pupil progress, promote good behaviour, and provide detailed feedback of pupil development and achievements.
About the school
We work with a variety of SEND schools in local areas in the North East including North Tyneside, South Tyneside, Newcastle, Gateshead, Northumberland, Sunderland, Washington and Durham. We offer full time and part time roles during school hours Monday - Friday between 8:30am - 3:30pm. We offer roles in Early Years, Primary, Secondary and Further Education with students aged between 2-19 years. Our schools cater for children with SEND including and not limited to; Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Challenging Behaviour, MLD, SLD, PMLD, Visual and Hearing Impairments, Physical Disabilities and Speech, Language and Communication Needs.
Requirements
- Have a passion for working in education with vulnerable children and getting them engaged in learning.
- Have a current DBS or be willing to go through the DBS process.

- A kind, caring and supportive nature.
- Previous experience of working in school, care or support work settings with SEND children, young people or vulnerable adults.

Salary
£350 to £400 per week
