We are seeking a supportive, nurturing, creative and inspirational teacher who can provide an individualised and highly personalised learning for their unique class of pupils. This role in particualr is supporting children with SLD, PMLD, Learning and Sensory Needs.

About the role

Vision for Education are working in partnership with a number of specialist schools within Batley to recruit for Special Needs Supply Teachers to work with children with SLD, PMLD, Learning and Sensory Needs.

This role is due to commence ASAP. Vision for Education can offer full and part time roles or daily supply that suits your needs.

Children are likely to be working at levels below those typically expected for their age.

About the school

This SEND school is based in the Batley area and is easily accessible via public transport.

There is also ample car parking. We are continually seeking quality caring staff members, who with additional experience and training may eventually become full time or even supply support staff members.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Special Needs Supply Teacher (PMLD) you will:
  • Be a qualified teacher
  • Have demonstrable experience of supporting and achieving exceptional outcomes with SEND learners within a mainstream or Special Needs setting
  • Have the ability to teach across the curriculum following a nurture model
  • Have skills in use of some AAC such as PECs and Makaton Be an effective, motivated and driven staff member, with high standards and aspirations for your young people
  • All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.

Salary

£160 to £230 per day

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • Recent experience obtained within the last 2 years, of working with children or young people, ideally within a school, nursery, childcare, youth work, play or care setting. We must be able to obtain references from these roles.
