We are looking to recruit an outstanding Teaching and Pupil Support Assistant to join our fantastic and enthusiastic team. We are looking for people with a real passion for working in a learning environment with complex but rewarding children. You will work closely with teachers and other professionals by taking responsibility for learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups, monitoring pupils, recording and reporting on pupil’s achievement, progress and development. The successful candidates will demonstrate an informed and efficient approach to teaching and learning by adopting relevant strategies to support the work of the teacher and increase achievement of all pupils including, where appropriate, those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and use effective behaviour regulation strategies consistently in line with the school’s policy and procedures. We cover a wide base of SEND/Secondary school across Devon and the Southwest. We can’t wait to hear from you.
Requirements
· To be considered for the role of Special needs learning support assistant you will:
· Experience of working with primary or secondary school aged children.
· Experience of working with pupils with SEND.
· A passion for the progress of SEND primary and secondary school pupils.
· An ability to work as part of a team.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
