Vision for Education are a trusted partner of Special Educational Needs Schools, Alternative Provisions, Designated Provisions and PRUs across the East Riding. This role is for the Market Weighton area. Monday 8.30-4.00pm and Friday 8.30-3.30pm April 2024

About the role

We require a SEN Teaching Assistant to work Full time across the hours 8.30 - 4pm and 8.30 - 3.30 on Friday. The position will be mainly supporting a Secondary aged pupil on a 1:1 basis with some small group support required on occasions. This SEMH provision need someone with previous experience experience working with behaviour and would be willing to work at the provision from February 2024 - Ongoing.

  • Excellent behaviour management
  • Ability to build excellent rapport
  • Previous experience with SEMH

Specialising in providing person centered education as per their EHCP to children/young people with EBD and who may display challenging behaviours alongside other agencies, with the aim to support them to overcome previous complex traumas

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant you will:
  • We are looking for candidates to join us for this Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant role who have a background in any of the following, and ideally a supporting qualification in Health and Social Care, Early Childhood Studies, Supporting Teaching and Learning, Youth Work, Psychology, Sociology, Mental Health or a related qualification (but not essential). Experience is vital for this Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant role, as we need to obtain recent professional references.

All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.

Salary

£86 to £94 per day

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
