Vision for Education are seeking a passionate and reliable Tutor join a specialist SEND provision located in Birmingham. The successful candidate will inspire and support students with special educational needs and disabilities, helping them express themselves in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities on a 1:1 and small group basis.
- Adapting learning materials and teaching approaches to meet individual student needs.
- Building positive relationships with pupils to encourage confidence, engagement, and independence.
- Assisting students with emotional, social, and behavioural development in line with school policies.
- Monitoring student progress and providing feedback on achievements and areas for development.
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all learners.
- Encouraging participation in classroom activities and promoting positive behaviour strategies.
- Helping pupils develop life skills, organisation, and self-regulation techniques.
- Promoting safeguarding, wellbeing, and equality always.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience
- Experience working with SEND students (preferred)
- Patience, creativity, and strong communication skills

About you:
To be considered for the Tutor role, you will:
Hold suitable qualifications, QTS/PGCE or relevant teaching experience
Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students
Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
