About the role

We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant with previous experience of working within SEN. Ideally, the successful candidate will be an outstanding, creative and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who has the flexibility to work with young people who have a variety of special educational needs. The role involves supporting students in the classroom giving attention to their physical as well as educational requirements.

About the school

This academy and 6th Form is where amazing children do amazing things! The Academy specialise in meeting the needs of students aged 11 to 19 who have a full range of learning difficulties and disabilities, as well as other physical and special needs including autism.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of SEND Teaching Assistant you will:
  • GCSEs in Maths and English C or 4 grade and above (or an equivalent)
  • Experience of working within an education setting or equivalent.
  • Experience working with vulnerable pupils

Salary

£12 to £13 per hour

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
