SEND Teaching Assistant Northumberland (Full Time) £350-450 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications) April 2024 – onwards
About the role
This ‘Good’ SEND Alternative Provision, based in Northumberland, supports children and young people aged 10-18 and is looking to appoint a passionate SEND Teaching Assistant to work in either Key Stage 3 or 4 classes on a full-time basis. Working in this Secondary and Post 16 SEND Alternative Provision as part of an established team, the desired SEND Teaching Assistant will be working on a small class sized basis, 1-to-1 or 2-to-1 with pupils with SEND complex needs including Autism, Learning Disabilities and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH). This full time SEND Teaching Assistant role is long term from April ongoing with the possibility of a permanent vacancy for the right person.

Requirements
- Experience of working with secondary school aged children
- Experience of working with pupils with SEND
- A passion for the progress of SEND secondary and Post-16 pupils
- An ability to work as part of a team
