Vision for Education are seeking to employ a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work at a Primary School in Newcastle.

About the role

This is a full-time role, working between the hours of 08:30-15:30 and is set to begin at the start of April 2022 and will be ongoing throughout the rest of the academic year. The successful Teaching Assistant (TA) will be supporting a child in a Year 4 class of 32 pupils. The TA will be working on a 1:1 basis, offering tailored support throughout the school day, whilst working alongside the class teacher to deliver differentiated learning to help the child progress and achieve. The TA must have a caring, motivating, and professional manner and good knowledge of the KS1 Curriculum would be beneficial as the child is working at a Year 2 level.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of SEND Teaching Assistant you will:
  • • Have had experience of supporting children with diverse needs.
  • • Hold a minimum of Level 2 Qualification in Teaching and Learning.
  • • Be able to work independently and as part of a team to support pupils learning and development.
  • • Preferably have a good understanding of the Key Stage 1 Curriculum.

Salary

£60 to £65 per day

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • Level 2 Qualification in Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
