We are looking for a passionate and committed SEN Teacher to join a dedicated and inclusive school in Chelmsford. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic professional to support and inspire pupils with Special Educational Needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet individual needs
- Teach pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and moderate learning difficulties
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and EHCP targets
- Create a structured, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCO, and external professionals
- Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with children with SEN (preferred)
- Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and differentiation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
