SENCO (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator) Hull Secondary School Permenant Position Starting September 2022

About the role

The Head Teacher of a West Hull Secondary school seeks to appoint a SENCO from September 2022. The successful SENCO will report directly to the school Senior Leadership Team and be responsbile for developing and evaluating SEN practice in the school, ensuring that they can achieve the best outcomes for the young people at the school. The SENCO will be responsible in liasing with school leaders, parents and outside agencies in providing the best level of support to those pupils on Education Healthcare Plans. This is a full time permenant post due to commence in September 2022.

About the school

This Secondary School is based on the west side of Hull City Centre. Forming part of a multi academy trust the school has seen improved exam results for last the five years and is now in the cities top three schools for academic input. The school has approximately 700 children on roll, from a range of socio economic and ethnically diverse backgrounds. The school prides itself on the support it provides to pupils with Special Educational Needs.

Key responsibilities

As SENCO you will be responsible for:
  • Whole school SEN strategy
  • Ensuring best possible provision and outcomes for all children on EHCP
  • Working with multiple agencies, parents and class teachers.

Salary

£24,000 to £42,000 per year
