Role: Teaching Assistant

Start Date: 13th April 2026 / Part-time
Salary: £92.56 to £100 per day
About the role
Vision for Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional needs in a welcoming primary school in Wilnecote. This rewarding role involves working closely with an individual student to help them access the curriculum, build confidence, and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support 3 days a week, tailored to the pupil’s specific learning and emotional needs
- Assist with the delivery of lessons and adapt materials where necessary
- Support behaviour management strategies in line with the school’s policies
- Encourage independence, social interaction, and engagement in learning
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO
- Monitor and record the pupil’s progress
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people (preferably in an educational setting)
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential
- Have or be able to obtain a DBS Certificate registered to the update service.
- Be able to gain at least two relevant references covering the last 2 years.
