About the role

Vision for Education are recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant for a SEND school in Barrow-in-Furness. The role is full time (Monday to Friday) which will start in April 2024 depending on availability and could result in a permanent contract from the setting.

The role will be working as an additional support in the classroom, working with students in small groups and 1:1 with students with SEND learning needs to support them with both life based skills, alongside a flexible curriculum in the core subjects (English and Maths).

About the school

The school is one of the main local providers for students aged 4-18 years old with generic learning needs. Each child has a care, health and education plan in place to support with their daily routine and activities planned at school which are differentiated to suit each child.

The school is also based in a great location and is very close to popular bus routes, making the school easily accessible from nearby areas such as Barrow town centre, Ulverston and Dalton.
