We are currently recruiting for a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work alongside a pupil in a year 4 class based in one of our primary schools in Angmering, West Sussex. This SEN Teaching Assistant role is to start immediately for 5 mornings a week until the end of the academic year. This role is likely to go permanent for the right candidate.

About the role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will be working solely on a 1:1 basis with a pupil with additional and behavioural needs, the role is highly demanding yet rewarding. You will need to have strong relationship building skills along with patience and good behaviour management skills. In your role as an SEN Teaching Assistant you will be expected to work alongside this pupil either in or out of the classroom, be open-minded and flexible on a day to day basis.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant you will:
  • A passion for working with pupils with SEN and vulnerable pupils
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience working with children

Salary

£12 to £14 per hour

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • GCSE's essential, A-levels are desirable
