We are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant for a role at an SEN provider in Kirkby Lonsdale, starting immediately.
About the role
The school are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant who has experience in working with students with SEND needs including Autism, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and Learning Difficulties/Disabilities.
The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant would be working with students across the school aged from 5-19 years old. The students are across a broad cognitive profile ranging from those at an early developmental stage up to those who may follow entry level/ GCSE programmes.
The students may be displaying challenging behaviour due to the mismatch of provision to need or struggling to sustain attendance in lessons or school because of the environment or curriculum. Typically, they may be making poor or limited progress. Sometimes they may be exhibiting anxiety or distress, so the SEN Teaching Assistant must be comfortable in working with students with multiple barriers to learning.

The OFSTED Outstanding setting is based on the outskirts of the town of Kirkby Lonsdale, with great transport links to the M6 motorway. They are a large SEN provider for their locality, providing education for students aged 5-19 years old.
Requirements
- Experience in working with students with SEND needs
- Be proactive and empathetic in your approach, always aiming to achieve the best possible outcomes for the students you work with
- Recent relevant teaching assistant experience within the past two years
- Have the ability to lead small group and 1:1 activities under the direction of the teacher
- Be an excellent communicator, able to work well as part of a wider team
About Vision for Education
Salary
£70 to £85 per day
