Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants Urgently Required York Full / part time £75 per day
About the role
Vision for Education are urgently seeking a skilled SEN specialist teaching assistant to work within a York SEN school on a flexible supply basis, 3-5 days per week for the summer term and beyond.
Term time only. 8.30am - 4pm (30 minute lunch)
The Role:
As an SEN teaching assistant, the role can vary from school to school and can include the following duties;
- Academic support
- Behaviour mentor
- Assistance with communication
- Run or assist with Nuture groups
- Personal care and toilet training
- Working inside or outside the classroom with individuals or groups
- Nurturing children's physical, social and emotional welfare
- Keep records and attend review meetings

Requirements
- As an SEN teaching assistant you will work with children with a range of SEN such as Autism, ADHD, SLCN, and PD, so experience in one or more of there areas, or moving and handling training would be desirable.
- Minimum of 1 years experience working within a school or care setting
- Able to promote a safe and positive learning environment
