The School and Role
Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a SEN Teaching Assistant to support children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition and other associated learning difficulties in West Sussex.
The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is adaptable, and possesses excellent communication skills. You will need to demonstrate a genuine passion for working with young people with additional needs and the ability to build positive, supportive relationships.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping pupils develop independence, self-confidence, and life skills. You will work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to support pupils in accessing the curriculum and making positive choices in their learning and social interactions.
Requirements
The desired SEN Teaching Assistant will have:
- Experience of working with secondary and primary school aged children in schools.
- Experience of working with pupils with SEND.
- A passion for the progress of SEND primary and secondary school pupils.
- An ability to work as part of a team.
- An ability to build rapport quickly with students
- Key qualities such as: Patience, Sympathetic, Strong-willed
