Job Description:
Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join a school for children with additional learning needs in Newport. This full-time position offers a fantastic opportunity to support children with additional learning needs across various year groups.

The school in Newport caters to childrena wide range of additional learning needs, including:

  • Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) Difficulties

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

  • Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)

  • Severe Learning Disabilities (SLD)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons tailored to the diverse needs of students.

  • Implement differentiated learning strategies to make lessons accessible to all pupils.

  • Collaborate with school staff to ensure a multi-sensory approach to learning is consistently applied.

  • Provide ongoing support and encouragement to students with additional learning needs, helping them achieve their full potential.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Proven experience working with students with additional learning needs (prior experience in a special school is not essential)

  • Genuine passion for supporting children with learning difficulties and a proactive, hands-on approach to teaching

  • Understanding of how to adapt lessons and teaching methods to suit a variety of learning needs

Ideal Candidate:

  • Must hold a teaching qualification in the UK (QTS)

  • Experience working with Autism, PMLD, SLD, and other complex learning needs is beneficial

  • Enthusiasm for supporting children with diverse abilities

  • A strong commitment to supporting children with additional learning needs and a desire to grow within the sector
