About the role
SEN Teacher - Complex Needs | Part-Time | Bristol
We are recruiting a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to work with pupils with complex needs in a supportive specialist or SEND-focused setting in Bristol. This part-time role offers the opportunity to play a pivotal role in pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development through highly personalised teaching and support.
You will be joining a nurturing, forward-thinking environment where inclusion, collaboration, and high expectations are central to daily practice. Working closely with teaching assistants, therapists, SENCOs, and external professionals, you will plan and deliver tailored learning programmes that meet a wide range of needs.
The ideal candidate will:

Hold QTS
-
Have experience teaching pupils with complex needs, such as ASD, PMLD, SLD, SEMH, or medical needs
-
Be confident delivering differentiated, individualised learning aligned with EHCP outcomes
-
Understand strategies to support communication, sensory regulation, and emotional wellbeing
-
Be patient, resilient, and reflective in your practice
-
Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, families, and multidisciplinary teams
-
Work effectively both independently and as part of a close-knit staff team
