If you've got real SEN classroom experience and want a role where your skills genuinely matter day to day, this is your chance to step into a setting where you'll make an immediate impact.

About the role

About the Role
Vision for Education are recruiting experienced SEN Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to support pupils with complex needs in specialist settings across South Bristol.

This role is suited to candidates who have worked within an SEN classroom environment and understand the level of support required for pupils with a range of additional needs. You will be working closely with students who may have ASD, severe learning difficulties, communication needs, and associated behavioural or sensory needs.

This is a rewarding opportunity to provide consistent, hands-on support and play a key role in a pupil’s daily development and progress.

As an SEN LSA, you may:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with complex needs
  • Support communication, engagement, and access to learning
  • Follow EHCPs and individual learning plans
  • Assist with personal care where required
  • Use structured routines and tailored strategies to support pupils
  • Help manage behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals
  • Create a safe, calm, and supportive learning environment

Assignments can vary from short-term cover to long-term roles, with opportunities to secure permanent positions within specialist settings.

What We’re Looking For
To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Have experience working within an SEN classroom setting (essential)
  • Be confident supporting pupils with complex needs
  • Have a good understanding of ASD and communication needs
  • Be patient, resilient, and consistent in your approach
  • Be comfortable supporting behaviour and personal care
  • Have strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one

Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential for candidates with the right level of experience.

What We Offer

  • Competitive daily rates, paid weekly via PAYE
  • Ongoing work in South Bristol schools
  • Access to a dedicated consultant
  • FREE training and professional development opportunities
  • Pension contributions (subject to qualifying period)
  • Refer-a-friend bonus scheme
  • Opportunities for long-term and permanent roles

Why Work With Us?
We work closely with a range of specialist schools across South Bristol, offering consistent opportunities for experienced SEN LSAs to further develop their skills in supportive environments.

Many of our candidates secure long-term placements and go on to permanent roles within these settings.

How to Apply
Apply today with your up-to-date CV and contact details, and one of our consultants will be in touch to discuss opportunities in South Bristol.
