Do you have a strong interest in supporting children with learning difficulties? Are you looking to work school hours? Vision for Education are recruiting support staff to work within schools across Bristol.

About the role

Responsibilities and duties:

- Assisting students in their work, some support will be in small groups, some will be in classes, supporting a specific student, helping them to remain focussed and on task

- Working with small groups or in a 1:1 setting

- Helping students to develop self-regulation techniques, and learn when they need to employ them

- Be flexible and willing to work with students outside the classroom

- Keeping students engaged in lessons

About the school

This school is based in North Bristol, and is easily accessible via public transport, it also has a large car park if you are a driver. This is a large special school that caters for children with moderate learning difficulties (MLD). There are 4 sites across Bristol.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of SEN Learning Support Assistant - Primary you will:
  • To have 10 days experience working within a school or similar setting
  • Be able to work 8:30 to 15:30, Monday to Friday
  • Be able to work proactively and use your initiative
  • Be able to work both in a team and on a 1:1 basis

Salary

£325 to £360 per week

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • Minimum 10 days experience working within a school or similar setting
  • To have personal or professional experience supporting children or young adults with learning disabilites
