Vision for Education are looking for SEN Classroom Support Assistants to join specialist SEND schools in the Cheltenham area. About the role
• Work as a SEN Classroom Support Assistant in SEND schools, supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, and communication challenges
• Provide 1:1 support, small group interventions, and in-class assistance
• Help pupils with emotional regulation, routines, engagement, and learning confidence
• Follow personalised strategies created by teachers and SEND leads
• Term-time only, with flexible supply and longer-term placement opportunities
• Work in schools that prioritise consistency, structure, and relationship-building
Training and support
• Full pre-placement training provided – no previous SEND school experience required
• Ongoing CPD and mentoring while in role
• Paid placements arranged following successful interview and compliance checks
• Support from a dedicated consultant throughout your journey
About you
• Passionate about supporting children and young people with SEND
• Patient, calm, and consistent in approach
• Reliable, motivated, and ready to learn
• Committed to ongoing professional development
• Willing to obtain (or already hold) an enhanced DBS
Pay and benefits
• £14.24 – £15.50 per hour, paid weekly via PAYE
