Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs in a school environment where every day is different? Vision for Education are looking for SEN Classroom Support Assistants to join specialist SEND schools in the Cheltenham area. This role gives you the chance to gain hands-on experience, make a real difference, and build your career in SEND education.

About the role
• Work as a SEN Classroom Support Assistant in SEND schools, supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, and communication challenges
• Provide 1:1 support, small group interventions, and in-class assistance
• Help pupils with emotional regulation, routines, engagement, and learning confidence
• Follow personalised strategies created by teachers and SEND leads
• Term-time only, with flexible supply and longer-term placement opportunities
• Work in schools that prioritise consistency, structure, and relationship-building

Training and support
• Full pre-placement training provided – no previous SEND school experience required
• Ongoing CPD and mentoring while in role
• Paid placements arranged following successful interview and compliance checks
• Support from a dedicated consultant throughout your journey

About you
• Passionate about supporting children and young people with SEND
• Patient, calm, and consistent in approach
• Reliable, motivated, and ready to learn
• Committed to ongoing professional development
• Willing to obtain (or already hold) an enhanced DBS

Pay and benefits
• £14.24 – £15.50 per hour, paid weekly via PAYE
