SEMH Teacher

January 2026 – July 2026

A specialist setting, created to provide a safe and calm space for children unable to cope within a mainstream school , are seeking Teachers . The successful candidate will have a relaxed yet professional teaching style, and be able to build rapport and respect with children that have often arrived from traumatic backgrounds. The Teacher must be able to regulate emotional behaviour with resilience and consistency, and provide both educational and pastoral care to some very vulnerable children. Learners who attend here are aged between 12-18 years of age. Classrooms are well resourced with designated spaces available for independant study and reflection, and a rich and engaging curriculum lies in wait for its learners.

teachers able to offer English, Maths or Humanities are encouraged to apply

Working hours are 0830-1630. 0830-1430 will be the contact teaching time, 1430-1630 bring planning / enrichment time.

Requirements

The desired Engish Teacher will have;

- A resilient and dedicated work ethic

- QTS

- Experience of teaching Key Stage 2 -4

- Expeirence of supporting children with SEMH, backgrounds of trauma
