As a SEMH Mentor, you will be required to provide specialist support to children aged 5 to 18 years old in an alternative provision. Children needs will range from communication and interaction difficulties, specific learning difficulties, autism or have anxieties and difficulties that create barriers to learning. Vision For Education are seeking the ideal candidate who is positive, enthusiastic, and eager to develop their skills. You will support provide one to one support through tutoring, work experience, physical and emotional development to motivate and overcome obstacles to their learning. The team are solution-focused and dedicated to help improve outcomes for vulnerable pupils and offer outstanding education they deserve.
Requirements
- Skills of empathy, listening and communication.
- A flexible, adaptable and positive attitude.
- Knowledge of safeguarding.
- Have a DBS on the update service or willing to start a new application.
- Competent behaviour management skills.
