The School and Role
This small, specialist provision in Birmingham is looking to appoint a resilient School Youth Worker / Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs. With small class sizes and a high staff-to-pupil ratio, the school offers a highly supportive environment focused on re-engaging learners. The role involves behaviour support, mentoring and classroom assistance. This full-time position is long term with potential to become permanent.
Requirements
The desired School Youth Worker / Learning Support Assistant will have;
- Experience working with young people
- Background in youth work, care or education
- Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
- Ability to build positive relationships
- A patient, consistent and resilient approach
