We are looking for an experienced Residential Support Worker for a number of roles in the Kendal area to start ASAP.
About the role
The role of a Residential Support Worker will involve supporting young people with Social Emotional and Mental Health Issues along with other needs including but not limited to ASD, ADHD, PDA, attachment disorders and behaviours that challenge within the school and residential setting.
This role requires a committed, enthusiastic, and resilient individual, with excellent communication skills as well as experience of report writing and record keeping, with emotional intelligence and the ability to react calmly in stressful situations.
This is a full-time role with the possibility of temporary to permanent contracts for the ideal Residential Support Worker candidate.

The setting is an Outstanding provider for over 15 years and has a brilliant team who provide substitute parenting for children and young people who experience a range of behavioural and emotional difficulties. The home encourages the children to get involved in activities and offers the children the opportunity to learn and be listened too. The support team guide and care for the children to help them to achieve life skills for future independent living.
Requirements
- Have experience supporting vulnerable people, such as in school, youth centres, sports coaching, residential settings or respite centres
- Previous experience of working with behaviours that challenge is highly desirable
- An enhanced DBS registered to the update service or the willingness to apply for one
- The ability to work on initiative and be proactive in their approach
- The desire to work with young people with SEN needs
- Possessing a Driving Licence is mandatory for this role
About Vision for Education
Salary
£10 to £12 per hour
- NVQ Level 3 qualified in a care related topic
- Possessing a full and current UK Driving Licence
