Are you a recent psychology graduate looking to begin a meaningful and rewarding career in education? Vision for Education is recruiting a motivated and compassionate Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to work in primary and specialist schools across Cwmbran. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting children’s academic progress, emotional wellbeing and behavioural development.

As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who have a range of additional learning needs, including autism, ADHD and social, emotional and mental health needs. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils to engage with learning, regulate emotions, manage behaviour and build positive relationships within a safe and supportive school environment.

This is an ideal role for psychology graduates seeking valuable experience before progressing into careers such as teaching, educational psychology, counselling, mental health support or therapy. What we’re looking for

To succeed as a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you should:
• Hold a degree in Psychology or a closely related subject
• Have a strong interest in supporting children with additional learning, behavioural or mental health needs
• Demonstrate empathy, patience and excellent communication skills
• Be resilient, proactive and adaptable in a school environment
• Work effectively alongside teachers, SENCOs and wider support teams
• Be reliable, motivated and committed to inclusive education

• Competitive daily pay of £88.92 to £101.92, depending on experience
