Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a PSHE SEMH Teacher to work in a local SEMH Independent school, starting in September 2022.

About the role

Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a PHSE SEMH Teacher to work in a local SEMH Independent school, starting in September 2022. Working on a full-time basis, the school welcome applications from both newly qualified and experienced teachers.

The candidate will be required to support Key Stage 3 and 4 Students with a variety of personal and school related needs. Someone patient, calm and passionate about improving the lives of young people is required for this role. Experience teaching PSHE is preferred but not required, evidence that the candidate could adapt to the role and assist with developing the curriculum.

The successful PSHE SEMH Teacher will work in a supportive and friendly department and wider school environment. The school is forward thinking and benefits from a proactive Senior Leadership team.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of PSHE SEMH Teacher you will:
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have experience working with SEMH students that can exhibit challenging behaviours or physical behaviours
  • Have some knowledge or previous experience of Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
  • Be adaptable and flexible
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff???????

Salary

£110 to £130 per hour

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status
  • Experience working with SEMH students due to the nature of some of the behaviours exhibited
