Primary Teaching Assistant – Part Time

South Bristol/Keynsham area | Term time | Long-term opportunity

We are working with a welcoming primary school in the South Bristol area who are looking to appoint a committed Teaching Assistant to support learning across the classroom. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with teachers to help pupils stay engaged, confident, and supported throughout the school day.

You’ll be part of a collaborative and nurturing environment, where inclusion, encouragement, and high expectations sit at the heart of everything the school does. This is a varied role that allows you to support learning, promote positive behaviour, and help children reach their potential academically and socially.


The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience working with children in a primary school or similar setting
• Be patient, reliable, and motivated to support pupils’ learning and development
• Work well alongside the class teacher to adapt and support learning activities
• Share a strong belief that every child deserves high-quality support and opportunity
• Communicate positively with pupils, staff, and parents
• Approach their role with integrity, warmth, and professionalism


Role Requirements:

• Part-time availability during school hours (term-time only)
• Confidence supporting pupils across the classroom and in small groups
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Right to work in the UK
