About the role

Role: KS1 Teacher.

Location: Manchester, Tameside.

Start Date: April after Easter.

Contract: Long-term with Daily Opportunities available.

Salary: £600 – £800 per week (dependent on experience and scale point).

Qualification: QTS required.

The School & Role

Vision for Education is recruiting a KS1 Teacher to join a friendly primary school in Tameside (SK14, Hyde) from April after the Easter break on a long-term basis.

This opportunity would suit a qualified Primary Teacher with Key Stage 1 experience who enjoys supporting younger pupils as they develop confidence, independence, and essential learning skills during the early years of primary education.

In this role, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum, helping pupils strengthen their phonics, reading, writing, and maths skills within a supportive classroom environment. Working alongside Teaching Assistants and other school staff, you will help create a positive learning space where children feel encouraged and motivated.

This position would suit a KS1 Teacher, Year 1 Teacher, Year 2 Teacher, or Primary Teacher seeking a long-term teaching opportunity in a Tameside primary school.


Requirements

To apply for this KS1 Teacher job in Tameside, you should have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE with QTS.

  • Previous experience teaching Key Stage 1 in a UK primary school.

  • A strong understanding of the KS1 National Curriculum, particularly phonics and early literacy.

  • The ability to plan engaging, well-structured lessons that support pupil progress.

  • Effective classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with young learners.

  • A reliable, adaptable approach and the ability to work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and school staff.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
