The role

Vision for Education is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Primary School Teacher to work within a cluster of fast-paced but supportive primary schools in the Newport area. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator who is confident delivering the Welsh primary curriculum and dedicated to supporting pupils’ academic progress, wellbeing, and personal development.

You will play a key role in creating engaging learning experiences, delivering high-quality lessons, and contributing to the wider school community. This role is ideal for teachers who thrive in dynamic environments and want to make a real impact while developing their career.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess lessons in line with the Welsh National Curriculum.

• Create an inclusive, positive, and engaging classroom environment.

• Adapt teaching to support a wide range of learning needs and abilities.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support pupil development.

• Contribute to school events, extracurricular activities, and wider school life across the cluster of schools.

Requirements

The ideal Primary School Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).

• Strong understanding of the Welsh primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies.

• A passion for supporting young learners to reach their full potential.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

• A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Ability to drive – preferred but not essential.
