Vision for Education is currently recruiting for a passionate and skilled SEN Teacher to join a vibrant and inclusive school in Newport that supports children with a wide range of additional learning needs. Located in Newport, this specialist school provides tailored education for pupils with a diverse range of additional learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). The school is committed to delivering a nurturing and engaging learning experience for all pupils and places a strong emphasis on collaborative working and professional development.

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver creative and adaptive lessons suited to individual learning styles and needs

  • Use differentiated strategies to ensure all students can access the curriculum

  • Work closely with support staff and other educators to implement a multi-sensory approach

  • Encourage and support students to overcome challenges and reach their full potential

What We’re Looking For

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching students with additional or complex learning needs (experience in a special school is helpful but not essential)

  • A hands-on, enthusiastic approach to teaching with a genuine passion for inclusion

  • Ability to tailor lessons to meet a broad spectrum of learning requirements

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Previous experience supporting pupils with ASD, PMLD, SLD, or SEMH

  • Strong commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment

  • A willingness to continually learn and develop professionally

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
