About the role

Job Title: Primary School Teaching Assistant.

Location: Tameside, Mossley, OL5.

Salary: £450 - £500 per week dependant on experience and qualifications.

Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Primary School Teaching Assistant to join our enthusiastic team of educators in the Tameside, Mossley borough. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting with day-to-day classroom activities, helping to create a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the class teacher to deliver high-quality lessons that meet the diverse needs and abilities of all pupils.
  • Provide focused one-to-one or small-group support, helping children with their academic progress, confidence, and independence.
  • Support pupils in developing positive behaviour, social skills, and emotional resilience, contributing to a calm and supportive classroom culture.
  • Help monitor pupil progress, providing feedback to the class teacher to inform lesson planning and interventions.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting or a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate)
  • A genuine passion for working with children and a strong commitment to fostering an encouraging and inclusive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
