About the role

As a PE Teacher, you will deliver engaging and high-quality Physical Education lessons in the absence of the regular teacher or as part of a longer-term placement. You will promote participation, teamwork, and physical development while maintaining high standards of behaviour and learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially KS5)
• Encourage student participation, teamwork, and physical development
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners
• Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all physical activities
• Manage behaviour in line with school policies
• Assess and monitor student progress where required
• Provide feedback to teaching staff and departments

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (essential)
• Experience teaching Physical Education in UK secondary schools
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to deliver a range of sports and physical activities
• Flexibility and adaptability across different school environments
• A genuine passion for PE and student development
