About the role

Following a successful interview for the National Teaching Assistant Programme and pending suitability, safeguarding and identity checks, we will work to secure you a paid placement in a school to further develop your skills. You will be supported in deciding whether you’d prefer to work in primary, secondary or SEND provisions and will receive ongoing support from a dedicated consultant.

About the school

Upon completing the National Teaching Assistant Programme, this specific role involves being placed within a SEND (Special Educational Needs Disability) setting. These settings can involve interacting with individuals who have ADHA, ASC, MLD, SLD and PMLD or SEMH, selected depending upon your skills, personality traits, preferences and strengths. The settings across Newcastle upon Tyne require unique and committed individuals who have a real passion to care, understand and motivate SEN pupils to succeed.

Salary

£12 to £12 per hour

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
