About the role
Do you wish to have a positive impact on children from disadvantaged backgrounds? Can you offer support and guidance to young people who need extra help managing emotions & behaviour?
Vision for Education have several positions for individuals with a Mental Health Support Worker background, to work in school settings in Knutsford.
- We are looking for people with resilience and a strong work-ethic to support children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs.
- This role would be suited to a someone who has experience or a desire of working with people with severe behavioural difficulties.
- The Mental Health Support Worker role is an opportunity to play a key role in further developing the life chances of children and young people at most risk due to disadvantaged starts in life.
About the school
- All pupils are at KS2, KS3 or KS4 however often working at lower than expected levels for their age.
- The school offers a broad curriculum based on children’s needs and interests including vocational learning.
- Strong focus on helping pupils manage their emotions and behaviour in order to prepare them for learning and the world after education.
There are opportunities for the role to become a permanent position after a qualifying period is worked
Requirements
To be considered for the role of Mental Health Support Worker you will:

Salary
£350 to £400 per week
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Have relevant experience of working with children, young people or vulnerable adults
