About the role

As a Maths Teacher, you will deliver engaging and high-quality Mathematics lessons in the absence of the regular teacher or as part of a longer-term placement. You will promote numeracy skills, critical thinking, and a positive attitude towards Mathematics while maintaining high standards of behaviour and learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially KS5)
• Encourage student engagement with problem-solving and mathematical reasoning
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Manage behaviour in line with school policies
• Assess and monitor student progress where required
• Provide feedback to teaching staff and departments

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (essential)
