90.00 - 130 per day (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)
The School and Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 4 Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and dynamic team as an Outreach Tutor in Chepstow. This is a varied and exciting opportunity teaching in sites across Monmouthshire, supporting pupils who require education outside of the mainstream classroom.
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to provide high-quality learning support, helping pupils reach their full potential in a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment. This role is ideal for someone looking for outreach tutor jobs, alternative provision roles, or teaching assistant jobs in Monmouthshire.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored learning programmes to pupils in outreach and alternative education settings.
Support pupils’ academic, emotional, and social development through one-to-one and small group interventions.
Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to plan and adapt learning activities.
Assist in the planning and preparation of lessons, resources, and individual learning plans.
Monitor and record pupils’ progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and relevant staff.
Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and inclusion.
Help maintain a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment.
Support reintegration into mainstream education where appropriate.
Requirements
The desired Level 4 Teaching Assistant – Outreach Tutor will have:
A Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
Experience working with children and young people in an educational or outreach setting.
Experience supporting pupils with additional needs and/or behavioural challenges.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting learning.
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
